How Much Time Do I Need for a Complete Dental Treatment in Mexico?

One of the most common questions we get from international patients is:
“How many days do I need to stay in Tijuana to finish my treatment?”

The answer depends on the type of procedure, your current oral health, and whether you already have previous X-rays or scans. That said, many treatments can be completed in just one trip of 2 to 5 days, thanks to digital technology and advanced planning.

📋 Estimated Time by Treatment Type

🦷 Cleaning, Evaluation, and Whitening

1 day
Perfect for patients looking for routine care or a first-time evaluation. A professional in-office whitening can also be done on the same day.

😁 Smile Makeover (Veneers or Aesthetic Crowns)

3 to 5 days
With digital tools, we can scan, design, try in, and place veneers or crowns in a single visit. In some cases, a short follow-up may be recommended for final adjustments.

🪛 Dental Implants (Surgical Phase)

2 to 3 days
The surgical placement takes just one day, but we recommend staying an additional 1–2 days for follow-up and healing check. The final crown is placed 3–6 months later.

👄 All-on-4 or Full Mouth Restoration

4 to 5 days (surgery and temporary prosthesis)
This includes extractions, implant placement, and fixed temporary teeth. You'll return 4–6 months later for the final prosthesis, typically needing 3–5 days.

🔄 Adjustments, Re-treatments, or Warranty Visits

1 to 2 days
If you're coming back to fix or adjust previous work, many issues can be resolved within 24–48 hours.
